Walt Disney Quote of the Week

So, for every Disney fan, there is no one more important in the Disney-Verse than good ol' Mr.Mouse and our favorite man, Uncle Walt. Additionaly, Walt was also known for saying multiple memorable and inspiring quotees, which are hardly ever used, or even heard of outside the door in everyday society, which is actually pretty sad. So, the genius hamsters which are behind the content we would like to write for you, our reader, every day, have given me the genius idea to inspire all of you, if only for a little moment. Therefore, I present to you the Walt Disney Quote of the Week!

Today's quote comes from an unknown year. This quote hasen't been mentioned much, but it is a great metaphor for how good things don't always have to come in a shining gold package:

"All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you."

Expect a new quote every Wednesday. Until then please remember to stand clear of the doors!

Marvel Gives Go-Ahead for S.H.I.E.L.D TV Series

For all of you comic book fans, this is probably one of your happiest days. Joss Whedon, producer of such shows as Firefly and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, has been given the go ahead for a TV series which is based off of characters from the Avengers. According to multiple sites, the series will be called "S.H.I.E.L.D."

S.H.I.E.L.D is (comic book nerds are going to kill me if i get something wrong) an espionage  and secret militaritan law enforcement agency founded after the Second World War by Agent Nick Fury. S.H.I.E.L.D has served multiple purposes in the marvel universe, most notably recruiting heroes into the Avengers initiative.

The pilot script has reportedly been completed, and should be airing on ABC some time in the near (or far, you never know) future. Some background on Joss Whedon:

Mr. Whedon is a screenwriter, executive producer, and film and television director, among many other things. Some of his more recent works have been on the 2012 film adaptation of the Avengers (writer), the 2012 horror film the Cabin in the Woods (co-writer, producer), and some am d ount of comic books and online media, much of it achieving cult status.

So what do you think? Will it be a complete flop, or could it possibly save ABC from boring teenage sitcoms?

Live Chat with Test Track Imagineer

We were fortunate enough today to have the opportunity to join in on the live chat with Melissa Jeselnick. Mrs. Jeselnick is one of the key Imagineer's working on the re-imagined Test track 2.0. She graciously joined Test Track and Disney fans alike to discuss what was going on with Test track and answering various questions. She didn't answer any of our questions, but here are some of the questions and answers which we found you might like:

Q:How are the vehicles customized? To better explain my question, say the "Killian" party comes and customizes their ride. If the "Connelly" party comes later and uses the same ride vehicle but customize it differently, how does this work?

A:In the design studio, you have a chance to design your own custom concept vehicle. That design follows you into the ride, which is the same physical ride that our guests know and love. You'll ride in our sim car. As you move through the space, your design will be scored in areas such as Capability, Efficiency, Responsivness, and Speed.

Q:How many customization combinations are there?

A: The possibilities are endless :)

Q:What is something new and exciting we should be looking forward to in the reimagined Test Track?

A:I think the coolest thing is how we integrate the pre-show with the experience, and then in the post-show, your ride vehicle travels through the entire experience with it. And you can keep interacting with your ride vehicle after.

Q:What is it that you hope guests will take from this new experience?

A:I think the world of digital design is exciting to our Imagineer's as designers and storytellers, so I hope our guest come away with some insight into what the process entails, and maybe it will excite some future generations of Imagineer's to join us.

Mrs. Jeselnick also mentione that there would be fastpass in the "new" attraction, the single ride line will appear, and the slated opening date is set for late fall. (Late October-Early December?) When asked if the large canopy outside of the pavilion would be coming down, Mrs. Jeselnick also gave away what the new marquee to the attraction will look like.
